Measures to Support Accessibility
Fitch takes the following measures to ensure the accessibility of its websites:
Appoint an accessibility officer and/or ombudsperson;
Provide accessibility training for our staff;
Assign accessibility goals and responsibilities;
Develop and employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods;
Working to make all affiliated websites meet and maintain WCAG 2.2 AA Accessibility Standards; and
Maintaining a Digital Accessibility Working Group to support Fitch’s efforts to achieve the highest standards of digital accessibility.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Fitch’s websites are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Compatibility with Browsers and Assistive Technology
Fitch’s websites are designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
Operating Systems: Compatible with the latest Windows and macOS;
Browsers: Supports the latest versions of widely used browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari; and
Devices: Optimized for use on desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
Fitch’s websites are not compatible with:
Older versions of web browsers; and
Linux Operating Systems with certain browsers.
Technical Specifications
The accessibility of Fitch’s websites relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins available on your computer:

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
Limitations and Alternatives
Despite our commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the accessibility of Fitch’s websites, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions.
Known limitations of Fitch’s websites:
Images: Certain images are missing descriptive tags because screen readers cannot interpret visual content, making the images inaccessible to visually impaired users. Fitch is currently working to implement design changes to meet accessibility guidelines; and
Color Contrast: There is insufficient contrast between text and background because ARIA labels are missing. Fitch is currently working to implement design changes to meet accessibility guidelines.
